LK Creator includes a template system that lets you save, organize, and reuse your item configurations across sessions.

What Are Templates?

Templates are saved configurations for any item type and plugin. When you configure an item in the generator, you can save it as a template to continue editing later or use it as a starting point for new items.

Standard Templates

Every item type and plugin combination has a base template with sensible defaults. When you start generating, the system loads a template for the selected plugin and item type automatically.

Slotted Templates

Some item types require multiple assets (textures or models) in specific slots. LK Creator provides slotted templates for:

  • Armor — 4 slots (helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots) with dual layer textures
  • Bows — Pull states (default, pulling_0, pulling_1, pulling_2) — 2D or 3D
  • Crossbows — Pull states + loaded + firework states — 2D or 3D
  • Shields — Default and blocking states — 2D or 3D
  • Tridents — In-hand and throwing models
  • Blocks — Face textures depending on mode (simple, column, full, directional)
  • Crops — Growth stage textures (stages 0–7)

Slotted templates pre-configure the correct number of upload slots and label each one clearly.

Project Folders

You can organize your templates into project folders for better management:

  • Create folders — Group related templates by project, server, or theme
  • Rename folders — Update folder names as your project evolves
  • Duplicate templates — Copy an existing template to create variations without starting from scratch
  • Rearrange — Move templates between folders freely

How to Use Templates

Save a Configuration

  1. Configure your item in the generator (Simple or Developer Mode)
  2. Your configuration is automatically saved as a template
  3. Next time you open the same item type, your previous configuration is restored

Work with Project Folders

  1. Open the template/project panel in Developer Mode
  2. Create a new folder for your project
  3. Save and organize your configurations within the folder
  4. Continue editing any saved template at any time

Template Availability

Templates are available for all plugins and item types. They work in both Simple Mode and Developer Mode, though the project folder system is primarily designed for Developer Mode workflows.
