Create custom fonts and emoji characters for in-game chat and GUIs.

Emojis

Custom emojis allow players to use special characters in chat. Each emoji maps a texture to a Unicode character.

Texture Requirements

  • Emoji texture — Small PNG (typically 8x8 or 16x16)

Configuration Options

  • Emoji Name — Internal identifier
  • Character — Unicode character mapping
  • Height — Display height
  • Ascent — Vertical offset
  • Permission — Required permission to use

Fonts

Custom fonts replace or extend Minecraft’s default character rendering.

Texture Requirements

  • Font sheet — PNG sprite sheet containing all characters

Tips

Test emojis in chat at different scales to ensure they align properly with text.
