Pack Diff
The Pack Diff compares two resource packs and shows you exactly what changed between them — no more guessing what a conversion, merge or manual edit touched.
How it works
Upload the old pack (A) and the new pack (B), hit compare, and every file is classified as:
- Added — present in B but not in A.
- Removed — present in A but gone from B.
- Modified — present in both, but the bytes differ.
- Unchanged — identical on both sides (counted, not listed).
For text files (YAML configs, model JSON, .mcmeta, shaders) a modified entry expands into a
line-by-line diff, with additions and removals highlighted. Binary files (textures, sounds) just show
the size before and after.
The comparison is by content hash, so a file that was only moved or re-zipped without real changes shows up as unchanged.
When to use it
- After a conversion or a merge, to review what the tool actually changed before you ship it.
- To compare a new version of your pack against the one currently on your server.
- To find the one config line that broke something between two builds.
Pair it with the Validator to confirm the new version is clean, and see Free vs Pro for plan limits.
